This policy explains what information the Duo Piano app (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles, why, and the choices you have. In short: Duo Piano has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your practice data stays on your device. The only information that leaves your device relates to subscription purchases, which are handled by Apple and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat.
The app saves the following on your iPhone so it can remember your preferences. We cannot see it, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else:
This data is deleted when you delete the app. If your device backs up to iCloud or a computer, it may be included in that backup under Apple’s terms.
All music is played by a sound engine built into the app. The app does not use the microphone, camera, contacts, photos or location, and the song library works without an internet connection.
Duo Piano offers an optional Premium subscription. When you view plans, subscribe or restore purchases:
| Information | Purpose |
|---|---|
| A random, anonymous app user ID created by the RevenueCat software (not linked to your name or Apple Account) | To associate your subscription with your device and restore it |
| App Store transaction and purchase information: products purchased, purchase and expiry dates, renewal status | To validate purchases and unlock Premium |
| Technical information sent with network requests: app version, device model, operating system version, App Store country, and IP address | To operate and secure the service and show prices for your country |
We use this information only to provide and manage your subscription. RevenueCat processes it on our behalf under its own privacy policy. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or combine it with data from other apps or websites.
Information stored on your device stays there until you delete the app. RevenueCat keeps subscription records for as long as needed to provide the subscription and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. To ask for subscription records associated with your app user ID to be deleted, contact us (see section 9). Deleting these records does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, India or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because the app has no accounts, the only personal information we can act on is subscription data held by RevenueCat. Contact us and we will help, including by working with RevenueCat. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
Duo Piano is suitable for learners of all ages. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children: it has no accounts, chat or social features, and practice data never leaves the device. Purchases are made through Apple, whose parental controls (such as Ask to Buy) apply. If you believe a child’s information has been collected through a purchase, contact us and we will help remove it.
Communication with Apple and RevenueCat is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries where it or its service providers operate, with safeguards described in its privacy policy.
If the app’s handling of information changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. If a change is significant, we will also say so in the app or in the App Store release notes.
